The Book in Three Sentences: Juliette Aristides is a fantastic artist and an impressive author, and this book is no exception. This book covers every subject on painting in oils, but the section on still life painting is one of the best I have read in a long time. It is thorough, including step by step instructions, philosophy on arrangement, and a fantastic section on color theory and incorporating the concepts into great demonstrations.
