Beginner Exercises

If you have drawn a little but do not have any accuracy to say that you can draw well, then this section will help you improve the simple dexterity skills needed to increase consistency and improve the accuracy of your marks.  

Remember too, practice is the key to improving, and when you reach a level of consistency with any of the exercises do not stop doing them.  Continue forward with them.  It is doing them “religiously” that will give you greater command over your skills and allow you the confidence and freedom to draw anything you want.

Exercise 1 – Ellipses and Circles

Click on the title to open the first exercise.  This first exercise helps coordinate the circular motion necessary to draw ellipses and circles at any scale or viewing degree.
